Amorita Resort

Sometimes you sorta stumble into the perfect place for you. For me, Amorita Resort is one such place.

Set atop a bluff overlooking Alona Beach, the resort is a welcome sanctuary from the bustling beach below. You’re right there, but not in there, and that’s what makes Amorita such a gem. The room’s are suitably luxurious, the food top-notch, and the staff friendly and attentive, but it’s the secluded yet convenient location that sets the resort apart from other premium offerings on Panglao Island. 

From the expansive veranda, you can enjoy a morning coffee and watch the various skippers and crews in the shallow waters below prep their boats for the day’s island hopping tours. After a day of touring the Chocolate Hills or discovering hidden coves, you can find your way down the steps for a beer at one of the many wonderful island dives  along the beach. And after probably one too many retreat up the hill for a quiet night’s sleep away from the boisterous late night revelers.
